The last 800ft to the summit was spent slowly working my way through the Pearly Gates seen directly below. This is a more difficult route to the summit and can get pretty unstable with rime ice and warm conditions.
This is looking down the North Face of the summit. A much more technical Climb to the top with steeper pitches. You can get a good look at the huge glaciers below.
As you can see I wasn't the first one to reach the top that morning. Looking to the west you can see the most popular summit route.
There was little wind that day on the top but with warmer conditions and a rising sun it was a good idea to not stay to long on the summit and make sure I wasn't skiing on avalanche prone slopes.
Finally on the summit and feeling good. Ina few moments I will be putting my boots on and getting ready for a quick decent.
