This resort has some of Hood's best terrain but since it is the lowest of all the resorts on Hood it typically gets hit and miss snow conditions. When the snow is there though it definitely has some of the more challenging in-bounds runs. The pictures and Video that are posted below are in what Ski Bowl calls its "OUTBACK". These pictures were taken on a great day last season 2006-2007 with some of the BMP dedicated crew.
The pictures that you are seeing below were taken from the top of
"Dick's Peak" which is about a ten to fifteen minute boot pack up a, not so steep, cat groomed trail. Very easy to access...... That is always why it is so surprising that there tends to be hardly anyone that goes up there. Typically fresh tracks are everywhere up top with a few short ,but steep, and somewhat technical shoots. Plus you can drop cliffs ranging from 5ft to 50ft. if the show is good. Icy conditions tend to come often here though so be prepared for crust and dicey snow conditions back there.........
